DGRC Meeting

The Digital Goverment Research Center (DGRC –www.dgrc.gr), invites you on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 9:30 am, at the conference organized in Athens, describing:

E-Government: Contemporary Education, Research Directions and Applications”

The Conference will present the educational activities of the Aegean University (undergraduate and postgraduate courses) in the field of eGovernment, and the Research Centre actions on eGovernment.

Two discussion groups will be formed by the partners of KEID: (a) representatives of institutions of public administration and (b) business representatives on the applicability of new trends and developments and trends of eGovernment sector. The conference will be opened by most prolific researcher worldwide in the eGovernment field, Professor Marijn Janssen from the Delft University of Technology,
presenting innovative approaches in the field. The Marijn Janssen is vice MINISTER Group on Public Administration Information Systems, head of the laboratory “Technology, Policy ANS Management” section of “Engineering Systems and Services” and member of the prestigious scientific journal issue committee. His research focuses both on situations in which the public and private sector organizations need to work together and the relationship between governments and citizens, promoting the creation and implementation of new technologies and forms of governance.

The Research Center for Electronic Governance (KEID – http://islab.samos.aegean.gr/dgrc) is an initiative of university laboratories and research centers, bodies of public administration, business and civil organizations, under the coordination of the  Information Systems Laboratory of Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering University Sea. It is a study body, education, design and support to the implementation of modern approaches and methodologies for governance at local, national and international level, which aims both at the earliest possible instant and comprehensive dissemination of standards and methods offered by eGovernment and secondly, the flexible application of the multitude of possibilities on the needs of the Public Administration.
